After graduating from high school in 1980, Martina completed an internship at J. Riecke’s pottery in Duingen/Alfeld, after which she worked there sporadically for a few years. In 1985 Martina graduated in product design in Hildesheim. Various jobs in advertising, trade fair construction followed until May 1992. After that she worked as a freelance product- and graphic designer.

Since 2003, Martina has supervised painting courses in several workshops for people with mental and psychological handicaps. Since 2016, she has held a freelance teaching position in the field of artistic methods in the curative education and health and social services degree programmes at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. For several years, Martina worked as a subject teacher for art in the educational area of language-media-art in various practice modules. She has now been leading courses at the Jugendkunstschule Nordhausen since 2022.
